Rosebud was purchased at the Seabank Sale in 1991 having produced six calves in the Seabank herd. She was a half sister to Seabank Pedro out of Euro Melanie by Corah Kent. During her time at Clonagh from 1991 to 2000 she produced five females and three males. All of her daughters were retained and have since left their own individual stamp on the herd.
Top influences from Rosebud in the herd include:
Neva was a member of our first ever show team in 2003. As a yearling heifer she was Reserve National Yearling Champion and Reserve National Junior Cow in 2006. A full sister Clonagh T-Neva was also a Reseve National Champion and sold privately to the Kennedy family, Northern Ireland.
She is out of a Hillcrest Butcher cow, Clonagh Grace, by Freighduff Brendan.
Her ET-bred calf, Clonagh Tiger Gallant, by Dovefields Gallant was exported to Scotland to the pedigree herd of Michael Durno, Auchorachan Simmentals, in 2007 and has bred sons and grandsons in Stirling selling up to 11,000gns.
Her first Banwy T-Rex son, Clonagh A T Tiger, was Reserve Champion at the Tullamore Society Sale in 2011 selling for €4,100.
Although we have no daughters in the herd her legacy has been preserved with offspring from Clonagh Tiger Gallant. A Tiger daughter, Clonagh Flashy Rubystar was a National calf champion at Strokestown and has been retained.
Tiger bulls have also sold extremely well for us with Jennalyn Elite Tiger selling for a top price in Roscommon Premier Sale of €8,200 after winning his Senior Male championship and Clonagh Horny Tiger G winning his National calf championship also topping the bull trade at a Premier sale in Roscommon selling for €5,000 after winning his Junior championship. Clonagh Eye of the Tiger was show as a calf at foot with Clonagh Absolutely Fabulous and later sold privately to Aberdeenshire for €5,000.

- Reserve National Junior Cow 2009 (highest placed heifer).
Temptress was flushed as a heifer to Cairnview Snazzy – two embryos were given to the Drumsleed herd, Scotland, as a luck penny for two cattle purchased – one of the embryos produced Drumsleed Chevrolet 11 who was Junior Champion at the Forfar Stars of the Future Calf Show in 2011.
- Her first natural calf, Clonagh Banwy’s Posh Boy, by Banwy T-Rex was sold at the Kilkenny Bull sales April 2011 to the Miltown herd.

Clonagh Posh Klowna:
Posh Klowna is an Anatrim Jacob daughter out of Clonagh Klowna and was sold to the Drumsleed herd, Scotland, for a herd female record of €8,000 in 2009.
Posh bred two natural calves on farm, both by Kilbride Farm Newry, before being sold.
Clonagh World Class was sold to the Sacombe herd, UK for €6,600. Since moving to the UK World Class had an excellent show career including winning English National Male of the Year and the prestigious Burke Trophy in 2012.
World Class was purchased back from the Sacombe herd in Spring 2016. A testament to how stongly we belive in this cow family. Later that year he was crowned National Senior Bull Champion at Tullamore Show.
Clonagh Venus Grace:
Venus Grace is a July 2007-born heifer by Raceview King out of Grace and half sister to Neva and T-Neva. She was placed second in a strong class of junior heifers at the Beef Expo in October 2008 giving away seven months in age. Son, Clonagh Easy Rider was sold to the Kilbride Farm herd, Northern Ireland.
Alison is out of Clonagh Klowna by Banwy T-Rex and was one of only a few daughters retained from his first crop of calves. She is an excepionally consistent breeding cow with possibly the best udder of milk on the farm.
Her first calf, Clonagh Crystal Klowna by Seabank Flint was National Yearling Heifer Champion Tullamore show 2012 and sold at the Premier Sale November 2012 for €4,000.
