We finished off the show season on a great note with Clonagh Darling Eyes winning the National January Heifer Calf title at Strokestown show. She is now following in both her parent’s footsteps with a National title under her belt. She is out of Milton Senhorita by Banwy T-Rex.

Darling Eyes is one of four ET-bred daughters out of Senhorita this year. Unfortunately we lost the best one, Clonagh Dazzling Eyes, the morning after Tullamore Show after she had finished third in her class.

T-Rex progeny were to the fore throughout the female calf finals with three of the top five placings being sons of his. Reserve to Darling Eyes was Broomfield Della from Paul Mc Ardle, while our own heifer, Clonagh Delightfully Fabulous, was placed fifth. In the younger calf final our February-born heifer, Clonagh Diamond Rubystar, finished in third place.

With a large amount of shows cancelled due to the weather this year it was great to finish the season winning as well as being dry!

Our next stop will be the Premier Sale in Roscommon where we will have for bulls and five heifers on offer.
