Welcome to our 2023 Festive Females Sale! The sale comprises of 21 live lots and a stocking fillers of embryos and semen. Among the live lots are 17 deep pedigreed Simmental and Limousin heifers and 4 bulls. The heifers are mainly chosen from the autumn 2022 batch with one 2023 born heifer.

Simmental heifers on offer are all by current and past herd sires; Manor Park Hansome, Auroch Magnifico, Kilbride Farm Dragoon and Clonagh Legal Eagle.

The first Auroch Magnifico daughters are showing great promise, lovely growthy easy fleshed heifers with super heads and temperament. Included in this is “Clonagh Pixie Trixie” who captured many a heart at Tullamore Show in 2022 as a 7 day old calf with her mother, “Clonagh Majestic Trixie” who won the Overall Simmental of the Year that day.

Among the Hansome daughters there are definitely a few stand outs including a “Clonagh Portia Willow” a full sister to last years Valentines Vixens sale topper, €7600 Clonagh Noddy, “Clonagh Playgirl Posh” a full sister to the 2022 Reserve Overall Simmental of the Year and a class act from the Wanda line, “Pretty Fabulous”

There will be three ET daughters by three different sires from the prolific flush cow, Temptress Posh also on offer. A former National champion herself she is now in four generations of champions at Clonagh and still stands in the cubicle shed at 17 years old.

A little bonus lot as the only 2023 born heifer is “Clonagh Ruby Jenny Fab” the first daughter of the much admired Clonagh Jenny Fabulous, a former National Senior heifer champion. Ruby is a long stylish, growthy heifer with a huge future ahead of her. She is sired by former herd sire, Kilbride Farm Dragoon who had left a supreme legacy of show and sale champions behind him with his daughters still producing the goods for the herd today.

The three Limousin heifers on offer are all by Tomschoice Lexicon, a bull they have championed for the past three years producing correct, easy fleshed cattle with super heads and an unrivalled temperament.

What is being retained are a few that cannot be made again, a heifer that their son Jack has created an unbreakable bond with and where there were multiple ET calves born one has been retained and the other offered for sale.

Four bulls are also on offer three Simmentals and one Limousin bull again sired by Tomschoice Lexicon. The three Simmentals are all by the herds super sire, Manor Park Hansome and a “well related” with a brothers of the €12,000 “Clonagh Honey Eyes”, Mr. Europe 2021 “Clonagh Hanniffys Hunk” and the €18,000 “Clonagh Matador” All bulls qualify for the SCEP scheme and will do once transferred in to their destination herds by November 28th.

As ever there is a wealth of information available on the Mart Eye app and throughout our website and social media platforms. All lots have been individually filmed and photographed with the emphasis on the video footage to accommodate the online bidders. Pre sale viewings are most welcome, with the sires, sisters and dams of the majority of lots to be seen.

Free transportation will be arrange for NI and UK buyers will collection points to be arranged nationwide to ensure all presents (heifers) arrive at their new homes before Christmas.
