We had an amazing days trading at the Premier Sale in Roscommon which was our yearling heifer Clonagh Honey Eyes setting a new herd record selling for €12,100 selling to Mr. Iain Green for his Corskie herd in Scotland. Honey Eyes had caught Iains eye earlier in the day when he tapped her forward as the yearling heifer champion. She is by Kilbride Farm Dragoon out of a Banwy T-Rex daughter, Clonagh Electric Eyes.

Our only bull on offer Clonagh Hawk Eye was crowned Junior Bull Champion and sold for €7,600 to Gordon McFarland, Newtownstewart, Co. Tyrone. This is Mr. McFarland’s second “Clonagh” bull to have purchased in recent years having previously purchased Jennalyn Elite Tiger for €8,200 in March 2015. Clonagh Hawk Eye was also the National Yearling Bull Champion in Tullamore is by Kilbride Farm Dragoon out of the Overall Simmental of the Year 2017, Clonagh Darling Eyes.

Following on from this was his full sister (and genetic full sister to Honey Eyes) Clonagh Happy Eyes selling at €6,000 to Patrick Meaney, Old Leighlin, Co. Carlow.

Next best was Clonagh Highness Wanda selling at €4,200. She is by a homebred Carnkern Titan bull, Clonagh Bartman and out of a Starline Klassik cow, Clonagh Wanda. She was purchased by Clive Houldey for his Manor Park herd in Scotland.

Also hitting the €4,000 mark was Clonagh Jazzy Lady by Kilbride Farm Dragoon out of a Dovefields Gallant daughter Clonagh Tia Edel.

Selling at €3,900 was the Reserve Weanling Heifer Champion on the day, Jennalyn Jubilee Rose. She is by Kilbride Farm Dragoon out of a Banwy T-Rex daughter Jennalyn Eternal Rose and was purchased by Sean McKiernan,
Corlesmore, Co. Cavan.

Clonagh Expensive Cream also joined the Manor Park herd selling for €3,400. She is by Kilbride Farm Dragoon out of a Banwy T-Rex daughter, Clonagh Expensive Cream.
